Portfolio and experience: I began my career in print graphics before there was computer aided design. While I have worked with a wide variety of clients over the years, my focus is now on custom design solutions for small businesses and individuals.

My design style is clean and simple.

I love typography and images. I am visual, detail oriented and organized.

Many companies understand the need to publish professionally designed brochures, often have a logo, and will mail out or insert promotional material in local newspapers yet, when it comes to the web they will skimp on attention to detail. This is a key reason many small to medium business web sites fail, or perform poorly.

My background in high-end pre-computer aided production and graphic design gives me an advantage when it comes to brainstorming concepts and organizing. I've worked with some of the best in the west!

Design Group West: Employed from 1980-1983; continued with freelance work after 1983.

Founding Member and Associate Designer, 1983 to 1991, with a collective design group of independent businesses called Quorum Communications, in San Diego. We functioned as a Full Service Agency, offering our clients the specific services they needed by putting together teams of account managers, writers, and creative talent. An extremely efficient organizational structure.

1992-2002: Freelance logo and print design projects under the business name Armstrong Graphics.

2002: Began Dark Horse Solutions.
